N19 for Club Members

    Volunteering

    We are looking for volunteers to support the National Surf Championships at Branksome Dene Chine this August. Job Roles are open to anyone age 14+ (apart from the Steward Role which is age 18+);


    • Event Set-up
      • Need to be physically capable and jobs will involve erecting marquees, barriers, banners and moving equipment where needed.
    • Car Park Marshalling
      • Within the kit drop off area, helping traffic flow, marshalling participants and issuing vouchers for reduced parking costs.
    • Event Support
      • Within the competition area, moving equipment, crowd control and general support for the Event Village.
    • Water Safety Manager
      • Must hold a Lifeguard qualification, responsible for the water safety operations each day and to provide local knowledge to the Event Manager.
    • Safety Crews
      • Must hold IRB / ISB Driver / Crew qualifications.
    • Steward (age 18+)
      • To assist and support the security staff managing entry to the bar and food area within the Event Village.

  • To volunteer, simply select the date you are available from the list below, review the jobs required, select the time you are free and enter your details. A confirmation email will be sent to you automatically and full details of where to meet and job roles will be sent prior to the day.

    The Cafe!

    BCSLSC are running our own cafe throughout Nationals. The cafe will open from 6am to 6pm each day (except Thursday) selling a wide variety of drinks and cakes. The rota is being managed differently to the Volunteer Sign Up sheets and will operate in 3 hour shifts. A big thank you to those who have signed up already. There are a few spaces left to fill.     The BCSLSC Tent!

    BCSLSC will have a tent within the event village where we will sell the N19 clothing, sort wrist bands, meet the public, meet other clubs and do other light admin duties throughout the event. The tent will open from 08:30am to 5.30pm each day (except Thursday). The rota is being managed differently to the Volunteer Sign Up sheets and will operate in 3 hour shifts.     The Bar!

    BCSLSC will be running a bar within the event village where we will sell quality local beer, lager, cider, prosecco, G&T's. The bar wil be open everyday except Thursday. The rota is being managed differently to the Volunteer Sign Up sheets.
